On May 14–15, 2025, the EV & Charging Expo will gather industry and customers in one of North America’s largest zero-emission commercial vehicle and charging marketplace forums.
Attendees can take part in two days of in-depth conference programming, a Ride & Drive featuring new-to-Canada vehicles like the Daimler Rizon truck and Bollinger Motors trucks, exceptional networking opportunities and the largest exhibit hall to date for those looking to speak with best-in-class suppliers of zero-emissions technology.
“Despite the mainstream news, companies and municipalities remain committed to this transition. Electrification is just hitting its stride. This event is at the forefront of understanding what the leaders in the space are doing and how they are doing it,” says Ilana Weitzman, vice president of strategic development for clean transportation at Electric Autonomy.
“The EV & Charging Expo is designed to help organizations confidently adopt EV technologies. We are proud to gather a brain trust of this magnitude and depth.”
The EV & Charging Expo 2025 brings together leading experts from across North America’s electric-vehicle and charging ecosystem. Conversations and information are relevant to light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicle fleets, commercial real estate and any organization interested in offering public charging as an amenity — from grocery stores to parking lots.
Last year, delegates representing over 800 organizations attended, including grocers like Loblaw and Longo’s; delivery companies like Fedex, DHL, UPS and Purolator; automakers including Volvo Trucks, GM, VW, Hyundai and Ford; and representatives from all levels of government.
This year, attendees will hear from innovative fleet operators, ESG leaders, real estate developers, municipalities, charging providers and installers, fuel retailers, site hosts, automakers, policy makers, and logistics and trucking experts, who are all enabling the transition to zero-emissions transportation.
Those working in real estate development and management, fleet operations, utilities, municipalities and government, automotive dealerships, retail and convenience/fuel retailers will benefit from the useful and timely content.
As well, test drives will be available on the latest commercial and passenger electric vehicles.
Many fleets are now on the road to electrification. It’s important to maintain the momentum gained by pilots and first steps so companies scale their success, says Weitzman.
“We’re at a stage where folks have vehicles on the road, they have depots electrified and they’re taking all those learnings and starting to roll that out at scale.
One example is the City of Vancouver, who will be speaking at the Expo in 2025. Their fleet includes well over 100 electric vehicles and they are planning on electrifying hundreds more.
“They have a good number of electrified vehicles and sites under their belt. Now they’re trying to move into the next phase and what does that look like?,” says Weitzman.
Sessions will also cover topics like advances in energy management, which is lowering barriers for multi-unit residential EV readiness and other charging sites; vehicle-to-building technology for emergency power generation; work truck applications for EVs, including waste collection; the latest on plug-and-charge payments, and more.
And, new for 2025, there will also be a one-day kWh Summit pre-conference on May 13, where attendees can come to understand and analyze the intersection between EVs and the grid — now and in the future. (This will be a separately ticketed event, with passes available in early 2025.)
