On The Run EV Fast Charge is opening their new loyalty program today.

The Journie Rewards app will now accumulate points for every charging session (three points per kWh) and in-store purchases (two points for every dollar spent).

Once 300 points are accumulated (the maximum allowed at one time) EV drivers will be able to claim a 20 cent per kilowatt hour discount up to a maximum of 50 kWh. When the points are redeemed, a new 300-point accumulation cycle begins.

Accumulated points may also be used to get in-store discounts or be converted to 300 Aeroplan points.

The news of On The Run’s plans to impliment a loyalty program was first announced at Electric Autonomy‘s EV & Charging Expo in May 2025.

At the event Scott Sharabura, vice president of operations for On The Run Charging, said the program would roll out in the fall across the network’s locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec.

At the time an On The Run spokesperson said in a follow up request for comment, “The addition of a loyalty program is one of the many ways we are looking to offer ‘more than a plug’ to Canadian EV drivers.”

Enrolling in the program

In order to begin accumulating rewards, EV drivers new to On The Run will need to download the Journie Rewards app (Recompenses Journie in Quebec). There is no fee to join and no monthly fee.

Meanwhile, existing Journie users will be automatically enrolled into the charging rewards program.

On The Run says that customers will get a 75-point bonus on enrolment in the program.

As for where Journie Rewards loyalty points can be redeemed, On The Run is rapidly expanding their EV charging network.

They are opening 75 new locations this year bringing their network footprint to 130 stations by the end of 2025.

More charging stations are under construction and planned to open in 2026 confirms a company representative.
