Subaru has dropped the prices of two of its electric vehicles to make them eligible for Canadian EV rebates.
The 2027 Subaru Solterra, the brand’s compact SUV, now starts with an MSRP of $47,995. That’s $4,500 less than last year’s model.
This overall drop in price now makes two of three trim levels eligible for Canada’s $5,000 Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) rebate.
The 2027 Uncharted, a subcompact SUV, now starts at $40,995 MSRP. With every trim receiving a $2,000 price reduction over the 2026 model, it now makes all four of the Uncharted’s trim levels eligible for EVAP.

The Solterra has standard Symmetrical Full-Time AWD and an all-electric range of up to 446 km with its 77-kWh battery. Able to charge up to 150 kW with DC fast charging through a NACS port, the Solterra can go from 10 per cent to 80 per cent charge in around 30 minutes. The second-tier Limited trim starts at $49,995 MSRP, while the top-tier Premier starts at $53,995 MSRP — outside the limit of the EVAP $50,000 transactional price.
The Uncharted’s base model is the FWD, which sports a 57.7-kWh battery for a range of up to 399 km. The FWD LR starts at $44,995 MSRP but has a larger 77-kWh battery, good for up to 496 km. The all-wheel-drive Sport starts at $47,995 MSRP, and the top-tier, AWD GT starts at $49,995. Both AWD models get the 77-kWh battery for up to 438 km of range.
All come standard with NACS charging ports.
The Solterra was developed alongside (and is the Subaru version of) the Toyota bZ. The bZ starts at $45,990 MSRP. The Uncharted is a similar sibling to the Toyota C-HR, which starts at $44,900 MSRP.
Subaru also offers the Trailseeker all-electric SUV, slightly larger and more rugged than the Solterra. The 2026 model starts at $54,999 MSRP, with the 2027 model yet to debut. The Trailseeker is based on the Toyota bZ Woodland.
Both 2027 models will be in Subaru dealerships later this year.
Vehicles eligible for EVAP that are not built in Canada must have a transactional price of $50,000 or less. Fees such as freight, inspections, and taxes are not included for the price limit.
