There is a new electric cargo van model now available to build, price and order in Canada: the 2025 Ram ProMaster EV.
Starting at $76,995, the American automaker (operating under the Stellantis umbrella) says the ProMaster EV’s range can reach 263 kilometres on a single charge. The vehicle is marketed as “highly customizable” and purpose-built to the needs of its customers.
“Our freedom of choice approach with powertrain extends to the Ram Professional lineup with an appropriate solution for last-mile delivery in the Ram ProMaster EV,” said Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Ram, in a press release.
“With front-wheel drive and a low step-in height, the ProMaster is a solid player and continues to perform well in a wide variety of business sectors such as the growing home delivery environment, construction services wholesale and IT Services among others.”
The Ram 2025 ProMaster EV Cargo Van comes with a 110 kWh battery pack.
It also offers two cargo configurations: a 12-foot cargo length and an extended 13-foot cargo length. Both configurations are on a 159 inch wheel base.
The two new Cargo Van models offers up to 3,020 lbs of payload. Meanwhile the previous Step Van model offers a maximum of 2,876 lbs of payload.
In terms of technology, customers will be able to choose from similar features on the EV model as with the combustion version of the van. Some of the add-ons include heated seats, adaptive cruise control and a white noise backdrop.
The 2025 Ram ProMaster Cargo Van will begin delivering in Q2 2025. Build and pricing may occur through the retailer’s website. To finalize the purchase customers are encouraged to contact their local or preferred dealership.
The Ram ProMaster EV is eligible for the federal iMHZEV purchase rebate.
